Established in 1992 the Nursery provides a homely extended family atmosphere where the children learn and play in a stimulating, fun and appropriate learning environment. Set within 4 acres of Harwood House located in Hambledon in an area of outstanding natural beauty it is accessible from the communities of The Meon Valley and the immediate surrounding area.

With its extensive areas of lawns and an all weather tennis court the grounds provide endless variations of activities for the children to learn, play and explore together throughout the year in this rural setting. Its unique outdoor facilities include the opportunity for children to grow their own fruit and vegetables in the kitchen garden as well as tending to their Chicken.

Our dedicated and loyal team of highly qualified staff work in partnership with parents to deliver the quality care and education that your children deserve as promoted by the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and in accordance with the Child Initiated Learning Programme.

All our Early Years Practitioners hold qualifications between levels 3 & 4 and are engaged in continuous professional development training programmes including 2 annual staff training days when the Nursery is closed. The Nursery achieved a Good outcome from its latest Ofsted inspection in February 2011 and the report is available on the Ofsted website.

We are registered to care for 47 children between the ages of 3 months and 8 years old and where 15 places are for children under 2 years of age. Open 50 weeks a year Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm, the Nursery being closed for bank holidays and a week at both Easter and Christmas.
